THE ROLE & THE TEAM
We are seeking a visionary Head of Product Analytics for our organization Customer Facing Applications (CFA) at Zalando Lounge.
As the Head of Product Analytics, you will drive our product evolution through data-led strategies, overseeing the end-to-end analytics that fuel key product decisions, customer experience optimization, and business growth. A/B testing is a big part of our product development cycles and you will be responsible for improving CFA’s experimentation frameworks through state-of-the-art methodologies to ensure rigorous, data-driven insights that continually improve product outcomes. Additionally, you will help steer our longer-term ambitions in personalization and discovery, exploring opportunities in advanced analytics, including data science methodologies and emerging technologies such as LLMs, as they align with business needs.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
* Lead and develop the analytics function within Customer Facing Applications (CFA), aligning with business goals and driving product success through insights, advanced analytics, and innovation.
* Act as a strategic partner to Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams, embedding data-driven decision-making into all phases of product development and customer experience improvement.
* Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, curiosity, and data excellence.
* Deeply understand customer behaviour through quantitative and qualitative analysis, leveraging data to inform product strategies and improvements.
* Develop a robust experimentation framework to rigorously test hypotheses, measure outcomes, and iterate on product features to enhance user experience.
* Collaborate with product teams to identify key metrics, KPIs, and data sources that help drive product roadmaps, decisions, and product priorities.
* Oversee the creation and maintenance of analytical dashboards, reports, and presentations that provide actionable insights for leadership and product teams.
* Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability by developing and implementing data governance frameworks.
* Leverage advanced analytics, predictive models, and machine learning to forecast customer behaviour, product adoption, and performance trends.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
* Proven experience in leading high-performing teams in Product Analytics and Data Science, with a strong focus on e-commerce.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker), analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude), and statistical analysis tools such as Python.
* Expertise in machine learning, AI, and advanced technologies, particularly in the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) for customer-facing applications.
* Ability to connect data insights to business outcomes and influence product and executive leadership decisions. Adept at aligning data initiatives with organisational goals and driving data-informed product decisions.
* Demonstrated expertise in user behaviour analysis, funnel optimization, cohort analysis, experimentation, and applying data-driven strategies to digital products.
* A passionate advocate for customer-centric strategies, company culture, and long-term vision, with a focus on fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across teams.
* Familiarity with predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms to enhance product insights.
* Track record of partnering with Product and Engineering teams to integrate AI/ML models into consumer-facing applications.
