Your mission / Objectives of the position We are seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. The applicant will be responsible for operations related to our sponsoring engagements at business events and support the Chief Communications Officer in Marketing and PR measures related to our expansion in the German market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of communication strategies and marketing campaigns on a national level that align with our corporate objectives. Tasks and responsibilities Planning, organizing and documentation of our attendance and visibility at business conferences Research and monitoring of relevant events around the globe, with a focus on Germany Managing relationships with external communication partners, such as event producers, associations and suppliers Quality controlling before and during events Managing and coordinating partners and clients Planning and organizing Internal Events (workshops, team events) Planning and organizing project trips, VIP meetings and first stone ceremonies Booking of artists, speakers, flights, hotels and meetings Social Media content creation Promotional item research, concept development and management of production Supporting our Country and Business units in Marketing and PR activities Conduct research and analysis to support communication activities Monitor and report the effectiveness of communication campaigns and make recommendations for improvements Contribute to internal communication channels, such as intranet and internal newsletters Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Communications Officer or Senior Communications Managers Essential Skills Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong problem solving skills and delivering operational support that elevates team performance within a fast-paced organization Ability to identify and assess relevant events, media channels and partners Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle ambiguity with grace Excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills Knowledge of social media platforms and experience creating engaging content Proficient in MS Office. Skills in Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus Fluent in English and German, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages Portuguese, Spanish and/or Italian is a plus Attributes Passion for renewable energy and sustainability Proven track record in managing events, locations/hotels, suppliers and external service providers Proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices Positive team player attitude with a willingness to learn and grow Flexibility and ability to work independently Proactive Education Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Event Management, Public Relations, Marketing or related field 3 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Marketing or a related field Other requirements Driver’s license and availability to travel About us Founded in 2011 and located in Wollerau, Switzerland, Smartenergy focuses on investments in renewable energy and related ventures.
