Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage two teams (approximately 9 people) responsible for corporate accounting consolidation and local accounting activities for Germany and other regional entities.
* Accounting Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, consolidations, and analysis across global entities.
* Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights and drive continuous improvement.
* Technical Accounting: Lead efforts to bring more technical accounting functions in-house, including the management of acquisition purchase prices, revenue recognition, and complex IFRS reporting.
* Compliance & Reporting: Oversee IFRS reporting at the group level and local GAAP at the regional level, ensuring adherence to all accounting standards.
* System & Process Optimization: Drive improvements in accounting processes and systems, including supporting the adoption of new tools and technologies. Proficiency with SAP ByDesign is an asset.
* Team Development: Manage and mentor your team, fostering growth, development, and high performance. As the business grows, you will be responsible for scaling the accounting function.
* Change Management: Support the business during its expansion, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient workflows across new regions and entities.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Strong background in international technical accounting, ideally from a public accounting or consulting environment, with expertise in IFRS and local GAAP.
* Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and developing accounting teams, including managing managers.
* Language Skills: Fluency in both English and German is essential.
