Your contribution:
As the Manager of Product Marketing for heavy-duty batteries in the automotive aftermarket, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our business in the EMEA region. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies to promote our range of batteries for heavy commercial vehicles. Based in Hannover, Germany, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
Key responsibilities:
Product Roadmap Development:
1. Lead the development of a strategic product roadmap for heavy-duty batteries, considering market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
2. Identify opportunities and challenges within the heavy commercial vehicle battery segment through market analysis and collaboration with commercial and engineering teams.
3. Define and execute effective product positioning and messaging strategies to differentiate our offerings in the market in collaboration with the communications team
Product Lifecycle Management:
4. Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and end-of-life, ensuring timely and strategic decisions at each stage.
5. Analyze and evaluate the performance of existing products within the heavy commercial vehicle battery portfolio, identifying opportunities for optimization, expansion, or retirement.
Market Analysis:
6. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for product innovation or enhancement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
7. Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of product marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
8. Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and promotions, collaborating with communications, sales, and product development teams.
Customer Engagement:
9. Build strong relationships with key customers and partners, understanding their needs and ensuring alignment with product development and marketing efforts.
Performance Monitoring:
10. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, tracking performance against targets and objectives.
Education, skills, and professional knowledge:
11. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
12. Solid experience in product marketing within the automotive industry, preferably with a focus on heavy commercial vehicles or aftermarket products.
13. Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
14. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and customer insights to drive informed decisions.
15. Excellent communication and presentation skills
16. Fluent in English and German
17. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market trends and customer needs into actionable plans.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing automation tools.
19. Must be able to travel 20% of the time
