Your role and responsibilities
A data architect plays a central role in the design, development and monitoring of the data infrastructure. This enables data managers to provide accurate, up-to-date and reliable product information and ensure its use in various business applications:
1. Data structure development: Designing data models that ensure product data is consistent, complete and easily accessible.
2. Integration of data sources: Linking different systems (e.g. ERP, PIM, CRM) to create a centralized and reliable data repository.
3. Policies and processes: Develop governance rules, e.g. for access rights, data maintenance and compliance with legal requirements (e.g. GDPR).
4. Provision of tools: Automate data collection, maintenance and transfer between systems.
5. Data analysis: Provide tools and frameworks that enable fast and precise analysis of product data.
6. Monitoring: Improve the accuracy, consistency and completeness of product data.
Qualifications for the role
* Completed IT degree or degree in industrial engineering with an IT focus.
* Many years of experience (>5 years) in the field of data management, in setting up and working with PIM and ERP systems and company-wide tool landscape for storing and processing product data and content.
* Experience in solving problems in complex processes with distributed responsibilities.
* Personal responsibility, strong communication and organizational skills, creativity and flexibility.
* Strong customer orientation.
* Confident handling of common digital tools and channels.
* German language skills at native speaker level and business fluent English skills.
