Job Title: Data Center Architect Location: Hamburg, Germany(Hybrid) As a Data Center Architect, you will be responsible for the comprehensive design and management of our Data Center (DC). The DC comprises hypervisor hosts, Windows and Linux Virtual Machines (VMs), and accommodates cloud VMs running both Windows and Linux operating systems. Your role will involve managing solutions end-to-end, identifying and driving service improvements, and collaborating with technical teams to develop and implement hosting requirements. Should be proficient in both English and German language. Key Responsibilities Design and Architecture • End-to-End Solutions Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of data center solutions from inception to deployment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. • Infrastructure Planning: Design and implement robust and scalable data center architectures to support diverse customer needs, including hypervisor hosts and cloud-based VMs. • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements. Service Improvement and Management • Service Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for service enhancement and lead initiatives to drive continuous improvements in data center operations. • Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools and techniques to ensure the high availability and performance of data center infrastructure. • Capacity Management: Analyze and forecast capacity requirements, ensuring that the data center can scale to meet future demands. Collaboration and Implementation • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to develop and create detailed implementation plans for hosting requirements, ensuring seamless integration and deployment. • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data center architectures, processes, and procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise • Virtualization Technologies: In-depth knowledge of hypervisor hosts, including VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization platforms. • Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems, both on-premises and in cloud environments. • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including the deployment and management of cloud VMs. • Networking: Strong understanding of networking principles, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs. Analytical Skills • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. • Capacity Planning: Skill in analyzing current capacity and forecasting future needs to ensure scalability and reliability.
