Summary:
Are you a talented Java Developer (Associate) looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in cloud development? Do you want to gain hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and deepen your skills in cloud development, deployment and gain business knowledge about distribution of data and their orchestration? If so, we want you to join our team on a limited contract until end of October 2026 - as maternity leave cover for a colleague.
The Role:
As a Developer (Associate) within the Business Data Orchestration service on SAP BTP, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the cloud service which orchestrates business data across the SAP landscape by providing master data flows, capabilities for event-driven transactional data that help customers optimize data definition, maintenance and ownership.
You will be involved in the entire development cycle, transforming requirements into solutions through design, architecture, implementation, testing, bug fixing, and troubleshooting. You will gain hands-on experience in the continuous delivery of cloud services while working within a Scrum framework. We offer a comprehensive onboarding to support your learning in feature development. You will work on full stack cloud development with the option to work on UI using SAP Fiori Elements, Java for the backend or you can contribute to cloud operations.
What you bring:
* You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
* 2+ years of experience in Java EE and knowledge of JavaScript (Nodejs, TypeScript) is a plus
* You are familiar with Git, GitHub, Linux or Unix based systems, Docker is a plus
* Experience in working with IDEs for e.g.: IntelliJ, Eclipse or VSCode
* You have a basic understanding of Jenkins, understanding delivery and build processes using pipelines
* You are a team player with good communication skills
* Experience in either SAP Fiori Elements and/or knowledge of other cloud native development or Spring Framework is a plus
