Your mission
* Analyzing tender SOWs and all technical requirements to create compelling technical offers in close collaboration with our in-house experts in our global offices as well as corporate departments (HSE, Technical/Engineering, Operations, etc.)
* Great understanding on logistics processes and resource planning for a successful project execution and agile supply chain processes
* Ability to analyze cargo, material and equipment lists to define efficient project handling processes and groupage, in line with our customers’ budgets and timescales
* Analyze and interpret technical drawings of special cargoes and, together with our technical/engineering team, come up with adequate transport concepts and related operational processes and requirements
* Great understanding of the logistics processes and features in BLU, our global TMS, to see how our IT system can best support the project execution for truly digital and highly visual operations as basis for successful project kick-offs
* Be sure to be fully aware of the capabilities of our in-house systems and ensure that they are marketed accurately in our tender responses
* Great ability to apply global project expertise to local projects and help to identify all local requirements, potential constraints and the right partners to execute the transport successfully
* Ability to develop our technical concepts further by adding new ideas and concepts to meet our customs’ involving demands for bespoke logistics concept now and in the future
* Work with common tools (Google Maps, etc.) to analyze local infrastructure conditions and requirements for all transport legs
* Stay updated on industry trends and technological developments to incorporate the latest insights into proposals.
* Be fully up to date with relevant market information to ensure that the solutions we offer are technically possible and incorporate all current risk factors
* Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support during client meetings or presentations, when needed.
* Work closely with our in-house expert teams and our corporate tender team
* Working in full compliance with our corporate tender processes and overall corporate standards (for HSE, Operations, etc.) and enforcing these standards when working with our global offices
* Reporting to Director of Tendering & Marketing
Your profile
* Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in project freight forwarding involving all transport modes (including barging) and different logistics scopes – from GFF, to Breakbulk to Heavy Lift, ideally at a leading Project Freight Forwarder
* BA in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or other adequate education
* Hands-on operational experience in logistics project execution
* Great knowledge of logistics processes
* Can-do attitude and ability to think outside of the box to create compelling technical solutions for our global customers
* Excellent communication skills
