About the role As the Marketplace Payments Expert (all genders), you will play a key role in optimising and securing the payment infrastructure of our platform. Your responsibilities will include managing payment risks, handling chargebacks, and orchestrating payments to maximise authorisation rates while minimising fees with our payment providers. Your efforts will ensure a seamless and secure payment experience for all buycycle users. Your responsibilities You oversee payment risk management, including monitoring transactions and effectively handling chargebacks. You optimise payment orchestration to improve authorisation rates and reduce payment fees. You collaborate with payment providers to negotiate terms and enhance payment processing efficiency across multiple currencies. You evaluate and implement risk management tools such as Seon to strengthen fraud prevention measures. You analyse payment data to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement. You work closely with cross-functional teams to improve payment solutions and ensure compliance with industry standards. You stay updated on the latest payment technologies and regulations to keep the platform ahead of industry changes. About you You have proven experience in payment risk management, chargeback handling, and payment orchestration. You are familiar with risk management tools like Seon or similar platforms. You have a strong understanding of payment processing, authorisation rates, and payment provider fee structures. You have experience working with payment service providers and negotiating favorable terms. You have a data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret payment data and derive actionable insights. You have excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. You are adaptable and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You have strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Ideally, you have experience in a marketplace environment or the fintech sector. Why us?
