About the Job We’re looking for a motivated Junior Commodities Trader (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and support its commercial growth and market expansion strategies. In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on owning the full sales and trading cycle — from market insights and customer acquisition to deal execution, and get the opportunity to contribute to various projects. In this role, you’ll: Build and manage customer relationships, negotiate pricing and volumes, and drive deals from lead generation to closing Source and trade construction materials across the DACH market in a fast-paced, margin-sensitive environment Track market trends, pricing, and regional demand, and contribute real-time insights to buying and selling strategies Identify trading opportunities and run competitive analyses to support strategic decision-making Ensure smooth end-to-end execution of trades, including order processing, logistics coordination, invoicing, and delivery follow-up Collaborate closely with the Operations and Finance teams to maintain seamless internal workflows Contribute to the development of a high-performing, entrepreneurial team culture with a hands-on mindset Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related field First work experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment, such as Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or a high-growth startup Passion for working in a growth-stage startup and transforming a traditional industry alongside an international team Strong analytical and communication skills Hands-on mentality — you’re not satisfied until things are implemented Proactive and confident in speaking with customers, suppliers, partners, and investors Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and strong proficiency in English Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company.
