We are currently looking for two new Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) for the staff position and the faculties.
Decentralized Information Security Officers (m/f/d)
(full-time / part-time, permanent)
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for the information security process at the Technische Universität Braunschweig and manages its implementation together with the IT operators and the Information Security Management Team (ISMT). This team includes the decentralized information security officers (DISB).
As a DISB, you are responsible for the IT security of your own area of responsibility and act as a central point of contact for information security issues. You will work closely with the CISO staff unit and support your department in implementing the relevant regulations.
Your tasks
* You will be involved in the development and updating of information security guidelines, information security concepts, IT emergency concepts and measures in the event of IT security incidents
* You provide information and assist in the handling of potential information security incidents
* You are involved in the procedural design of suitable measures
* You will develop and maintain an overview of the IT systems and information-processing processes used
* You provide advice and training on IT security issues
* You act as an advisory member of the TU Braunschweig IT Security Board
With a corresponding master's degree, you will also use established scientific methods to help create and disseminate advisories and deal with information security incidents, manage information security processes in the organizational units and design training courses for users and administrators.
Your qualification
* You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, IT security, information security or a comparable IT-related subject area
* Ideally, you have completed further training to become an information security officer You are also welcome to apply if you are willing to acquire this qualification as part of a trainee program and have knowledge of BSI baseline protection and/or ISO27001, process modeling and threat intelligence operations
* You express yourself well - in writing and orally in German and English (at least B2 level)
* You can work well in a team, are able to deal with conflict, have a high level of customer and service orientation and are able to work under pressure
* You have analytical thinking skills as well as a structured, responsible and results-oriented way of working
We offer
* Pay in line with the collective agreement according to EG 11 TV-L (Bachelor's degree) or up to EG 13 TV-L (Master's degree) depending on the tasks assigned and fulfillment of the personal requirements. If the classification is initially below EG 13 due to the individual personal requirements, further qualification is supported and promoted in the form of individually tailored qualification measures with the aim of transferring higher-value activities corresponding to the pay groups up to EG 13. Payment according to EG 13 TV-L requires the assumption of the further areas of responsibility described above upon completion of a Master's degree
