In order to be able to supply our customers across Europe quickly and in accordance with our quality standards, our European distribution centers are an integral part of the zooplus network. Logistics service providers are operating the 11 Fulfillment centers all over Europe. As zooplus is growing fast a constant increase in fulfillment capacity is required. Zooplus fulfillment automation strategy is leading to retrofits of existing FCs and high complex intra logistics solutions for new FCs.
In this role, the Senior Program Manager Logistics is owning the projects around new Fulfillment Center launches, Fulfillment Center extensions, retrofits, potential Fulfillment Center closures as well as Supply Chain related topics and amendments. In this role you are responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, identifying risks and ensuring the in-time delivery of the project in accordance with the project goals. The constant growth of our Fulfillment Network requires a permanent review of processes and technology used, as well as the further development of standards.
The tasks:
* End-to-end ownership of strategic logistics projects, including new FC launches, capacity expansions, retrofits, and potential site transitions
* Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment across departments such as Fulfillment, IT, Inventory, and Transportation
* Create and manage project plans, milestones, risk assessments, and communication plans to ensure on-time and in-scope delivery
* Apply project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) as needed based on project complexity and scope
* Implement standards and processes for consistent project execution across the logistics network
* Contribute to the strategic roadmap of the Concepts & Analytics team and help scale our operational project capabilities
* Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making
* Drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations in partnership with internal stakeholders and FC management
* Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the business
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
* At least 3 years of proven project or program management experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL environments
* Demonstrated success in leading medium to large-scale, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
* Good understanding of e-commerce fulfillment operations and intralogistics concepts
* Proficient in project management tools and techniques (PMP certification or similar project management qualification is a plus)
* Experience with Lean management or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
* Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and delivery
* Analytical thinker with a hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset
* Fluent in English (spoken & written); German or another European language is a plus
* Willingness to travel across Europe (up to 30%)
* Valid EU driving license
