If so, Waters Germany is looking for you About the Role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Southern & Central Accounting Team. The position is based in Germany ( Eschborn) and requires strong expertise in German statutory financial reporting and compliance within an international environment. You will collaborate across multiple teams (Local, Regional, EMEA, Corporate) ensuring financial accuracy and process improvements while maintaining compliance with GAAP and statutory standards. Flexible arrangements for home office work ( 2 days/ week). Key responsibilities Ensure compliance Waters Germany with US Gaap & German Statutory standards across all accounting operations. Ensure accurate, timely month-end close activities. Reconcile ending balances and prepare monthly reconciliations in BlackLine. Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings, tax returns, and other local tax obligations. Collaborate to process harmonization across the region and contribute to European and Global projects. Collaborate with external auditors (E&Y, PWC) and internal stakeholders for audit-related activities. Responsibilities: Responsible US Gaap and Statutory financial reporting for Waters Germany: Balance sheet and P&L reviews, including journal entry and variance analysis Intercompany transactions, cost analysis, and cross-charges Compensation & Benefit management in accounting Payroll tax in accounting Pension in accounting VAT Review & Reporting Intrastat and statistic reporting Income Tax and Tax Package Section II Reporting US Gaap to Statutory conversion Preparation annual Statutory financial package IFRS reporting package Collaborate for best practices sharing in financial activities and contribute to process improvements & harmonization. Manage internal and external audits, ensuring all processes align with regulatory requirements. Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting Experience: Min 3 years in a similar role International environment organization with internal controls Matrix structure: a plus Competencies & Skills Strong technical accounting knowledge Proficiency in SAP, XL. BlackLine a plus Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability for teamwork Operates with integrity and transparency Result oriented Work independently Languages German native language and proficiency in English.
