We're looking for a European Business Head for a Chinese B2B E-commerce Platform.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced European Business Head to lead the expansion of a B2B e-commerce platform in Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internet platform business or e-commerce, with proven capabilities in localization, building businesses from the ground up (0-1), and strategic thinking. This role will be instrumental in shaping the growth trajectory in the European market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Development:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to penetrate and grow the European market.
o Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, leveraging local market insights and trends.
o Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
o Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
2. Business Operations:
o Oversee all aspects of the platform’s operations in Europe, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives and drive operational excellence.
3. Client Relations:
o Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
o Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Strategic Planning:
o Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve long-term business goals.
o Conduct market analysis to inform decision-making and stay ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications
1. Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
o Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
2. Experience:
o Minimum of 8 years of experience in internet platform business or e-commerce, preferably in a B2B context.
o Demonstrated success in launching and scaling new business ventures (0-1 experience).
o Experience in managing and leading teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
3. Language Skills:
o Fluent in English and Chinese, with the ability to use both languages as working languages.
4. Technical Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies, and related technologies.
5. Personal Attributes:
o Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
o Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
o Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and business needs.
Work Location:
* The position will be based in Munich, Germany or in Milano, Italy.
