We are currently recruiting for an Investigator. As a member of the Global Investigations team, and reporting into the AVP, Global Investigations Leader, you will manage complex and sensitive internal employee investigations of misconduct, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, workplace bullying or retaliation cases. This is a critical role for the business. How investigations are conducted directly supports employee's experience and confidence in a speak up culture, on one hand, and protects the Company by mitigating legal exposure, on the other. From time to time you may be asked to assist other departments with investigations beyond just HR matters.
In accordance with the Agilent’s Investigations Process, you will be asked to –
1. Conduct intake, review complaints, analyze allegations of misconduct, develop investigation plan.
2. Conduct investigations, including interviewing involved parties and witnesses, documenting those interviews, identifying and collecting relevant evidence, identifying factual findings and recommended remediation measures, and completing a written report.
3. Close cases with appropriate communications to participants and report out appropriate summaries of the outcome to relevant stakeholders, for decision-making and implementation.
4. Collaborate with other departments (mainly legal, compliance, internal audit, and other HR areas) to complete investigations or other related investigative plans, and ensure those are conducted in a thorough and legally compliant manner.
5. Advise managers and HR colleagues on performance remediation actions stemming from investigation outcomes.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough records in the appropriate systems, mainly Agilent’s case management tool.
7. Contribute to other assignments, such as developing training materials, assisting with misconduct reporting to leadership team, providing advice on policies and/or procedures, and partnering with colleagues or other departments on special projects.
8. Work with external counsel as needed; represent Agilent in external proceedings as necessary.
9. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
10. Foster a culture of integrity, respect, and accountability within the organization.
Qualifications
11. JD Degree from a Law School (or equivalent) and active Bar License required.
12. In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, desirably across multiple jurisdictions; employment law training highly desirable.
13. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in employment law practice in a law firm and/or in-house handling of misconduct investigations, employee relations, employment litigation or other employment- related fields.
14. Strong analytical skills, and ability to handle cases in a consistent and structured way.
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact, professionalism and both emotional and cultural intelligence.
16. Excellent English and German written and spoken communication skills.
17. High level of integrity and ethical standards.
18. Ability to travel as needed.

25. This job has a full-time weekly schedule and no end date. It includes the option to work remotely, although proximity to one of major Agilent’s sites will be valued.
