Your role: We are seeking a skilled Group Accounting Analyst to join our Surface Solutions Finance Team. The Surface Solutions Business Unit, a mid-sized multinational leader in the pigments industry, is subject to a planned divestment to the company Global New Materials International (GNMI), headquartered in China, as of August 1st 2025. This role will be part of the divestment.
Surface Solutions is planned to become a standalone business under GNMI ownership. In this context, a fully-fledged, dedicated Finance function for Surface Solutions needs to be build-up. The Head of FP&A and Controlling will play a critical role in leading and managing the entire FP&A and Controlling team for over 15 legal entities across more than 10 countries, including three global manufacturing sites in a diverse ERP landscape.
This position is important to establish and run key group accounting and consolidation processes for the newly independent Surface Solutions business covering over 15 legal entities across more than 10 countries. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in running the operational consolidation process globally and preparing consolidated financial statements. You will prepare and consolidate local financial statements in multiple currencies, ensuring compliance with IFRS requirements. You will collaborate with local finance teams to gather and validate financial information for consolidation. Additionally, you will manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. Furthermore, you will assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports.
Who you are:
* 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in group accounting positions, ideally in a mid-sized multinational company
* Solid knowledge of IFRS, consolidation processes, and dealing with multi-currency transactions
* Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with consolidation software (ie Oracle, Blackline, OneStream, Workday)
* Hands-on mindset, result driven and resilient, with very good analytical skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders
* Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
