About the Role The License Portfolio Manager will consult Product and Project Leads globally on third party software, licenses, trademarks and patents as well as coordinating licensing requirements between Licensors and Harman Product / Project leads. With software increasingly becoming a major share of Harman Product and Projects, this role enjoys a high visibility through technical expertise, making intangible cost of technology transparent while ensuring compliance for Harman’s business success. What You Will Do Drive License Review meetings with Product and Project Leads to consult them on third party software, licenses, trademarks and patents. Coordinate licensing requirements between Licensors and Harman Product / Project leads. Participate in Product Design stage, Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quote (RFQ) inquiries to consult business partners regarding licenses needed, potential license cost improvements up to design-to-cost approaches. Drive technology strategy creation in alignment with License Procurement Category Managers and Engineering Domain Leads. Together with your other team members own the Bill-of-License review process and strive for continuous improvement. Provide consulting and training to all functions within Harman that can benefit from implementing rigid processes for selling, sourcing and processing licenses Support License Audits by coordinating system tests, collecting technical Product / Project details and provide them to Auditors ensuring Harman’s compliance with licenses. What You Need University degree in engineering (Information Technology, Electrical Engineering) or appropriate graduation. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Procurement, Program Management, or Finance/Controlling. Good business/ financial acumen. Fluent technical and commercial English skills. High ability to motivate and to communicate effectively. Experience in working effectively and target oriented with international teams. What is Nice to Have Very good understanding in system and software architecture. Knowledge about technical roadmaps and product portfolio's. Passion and understanding for technology in automotive industry paired with experience in automotive development process and generic customer requirements. Awareness about automotive supply chain demands and transformation. Broad Supplier Network as well as OEM customers.
