Who we are
The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The Purchasing unit is the interface to the supplier market and is thus responsible for a large part of the value creation. The responsibilities range from raw material purchasing to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering.
Your role and key responsibilities
* Operation of the technical field service for the support of suppliers for battery cell input material
* Responsibility for deadline tracking and ensuring on-time delivery of components
* Presentation of work results and project status reports in committees through regular presentations
* Evaluation of the ability to award contracts for suitability and capacities of suppliers in tenders for new projects
* Analysis of the planned manufacturing processes and industrialization concepts of the suppliers as well as review and acceptance of the installed production capacities of the suppliers
* Independent implementation of measures to achieve the project milestones
* Operation interface management as a technical expert in procurement for other departments
What you bring to the team
* Degree in process engineering, chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar qualification
* Technical understanding in lean production, OEE determination and CIP
* Fluent in English
* Confident handling of MS Office products
* Knowledge of input materials for battery cell production
* High level of initiative and negotiation skills
* Above-average assertiveness and teamwork skills
