Smiths Interconnect, a leading player in the sector, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Sales team. As a Sales Manager at Smiths Interconnect, your primary responsibility will be managing accounts within Germany and other EU countries.
You will leverage your technical expertise, commercial skills, and existing industry knowledge to maintain and expand our customer base. Your goal is to increase overall sales revenue and profit year-on-year, both from existing clients and by targeting new business opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):
* Collaborating closely with customers and distributors to identify opportunities and develop new product designs.
* Managing and maintaining your opportunities in the CRM with company guideline
* Ensuring our value proposition aligns with the needs of existing customers and qualifying new requests for quotations.
* Developing new accounts by identifying programs, projects, competitive potentials, and value propositions.
* Identifying and enhancing the company's competitive advantage through product value propositions.
* Taking ownership of the booking plan of your accounts to give insights to the organisation
* Taking ownership of client issues and ensuring a positive brand reputation.
* Working cross-functionally to drive business and contribute actively to product development.
* Driving growth within market segments and applications by analysing industry data.
* Maximising price and margin for our products
Qualifications
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering and/or Business
* Technical and commercial knowledge of connectors and/or cable assemblies
* Previous experience in selling solutions within the Defence and/or Medical industries is a major advantage
* Ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally, along with a valid passport
* Flexibility in working arrangements, including remote work, subject to agreement.
* Demonstrated and successful sales experience in a related role, market and/or products.
* Technical knowledge of connectors or cable assemblies is highly desirable.
* The ability to qualify requests for quotations, investigate customers' buying motives, and map decision makers and influencers.
* Experience in building compelling Value Propositions based on the qualification process.
* Experience in negotiating terms and conditions.
* Proficiency in using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
* Successful experience with high-value product selling, pricing, negotiating, and channel management.
* Fluent in German and English, with a good command of Spanish or French being highly appreciated.
