Job Description Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a production/processing operation environment | Sets up the process so that it produces conforming components | Includes the creation and proveout of new manufacturing processes including the generation of CNC programmes using CAD/CAM | Monitors process performance and adjusts process parameters to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and preventative maintenance checks of equipment | Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. SPECIALIST CAREER BAND: Performs various types of specialist roles, including: technical tasks required to support operations (e.g., IT development, research support, skilled trade), clerical/administrative or specialized support tasks in an office, field or retail store/site setting, operational or manual tasks, primarily in manufacturing, supply chain or operational environments. Typically requires vocational training or the equivalent experience at senior levels, and may require external certification but typically does not require a university degree. May have limited direct reports, but spends the majority of their time on their personal contributions to work. SPECIALIST LEVEL B: Working knowledge developed through formal training and/or work experience. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions. SPECIALIST SUB-LEVEL B1: Basic knowledge / skills to perform defined methods & processes with limited discretion. Considered to be skilled through training and work experience.
