Category Manager - Electronic Systems

Role Overview:
The Category Manager will be responsible for managing electronic material categories such as motors, cables, wires, printed circuit board assemblies, and semiconductors.
This position plays a crucial role in sourcing strategies, supplier management, and driving operational excellence for the portfolio of innovative products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sourcing & Supplier Management:
* Lead sourcing initiatives to identify and onboard suppliers, ensuring value-driven decisions.
* Conduct market intelligence and spend analysis to align with business objectives.
* Build and manage supplier partnerships, driving performance, innovation, and risk mitigation.
* Category Strategy Development:
* Develop and implement category sourcing strategies based on business needs, market trends, and supplier evaluations.
* Identify and develop a diverse, innovative supply base to ensure reliability and competitiveness.
* Contracting & Project Support:
* Oversee contract creation and administration to optimize financial and operational performance.
* Support cross-functional projects to drive procurement KPIs, supply chain initiatives, and digital tool adoption.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
* Electronics or Electrical Engineering expertise is highly advantageous.
* Minimum of 6 years in procurement or supply chain management.
* Experience with electronics, medical devices, or similar industries preferred.
* Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma) is a plus.
* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Expertise in motors, semiconductors, cables, and PCBA industries is beneficial.
* Business acumen and the ability to operate across regions and markets.
* Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%).
* Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
