Valuation Officer Intern (m/f) POSITION IDENTIFICATION Department: Valuation Immediate superior: Conducting Officer of Valuation Management (staff): N/A Back up: Other Valuation Officers PURPOSE Ensuring the Valuations of each AIFs RESPONSABILITIES We are seeking a Valuation Intern that will assist our Valuation Team in: Evaluating private assets investments valuations for audit and Net Asset Value reporting purposes. Private asset investments include infrastructure, private equity, venture capital, private debt and real estate. Review the assumptions and accuracy of the valuation models (received from the client/external appraiser or performed internally) used to produce fair value estimates (Discounted Cash Flow and/or market multiple models). Preparing the internal Valuation Committees and documenting key takeaways in the Valuation Committee minutes. Liaising with internal teams (risk management, portfolio management) and external stakeholders (investment managers, advisors, clients, auditors, external appraisers). Preparing and reviewing the Valuation Policies of the Alternative Investment Funds. Supporting the Valuation Officers on day to day and ad hoc activities. REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelors Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent. Current enrolment in a Masters Degree. Knowledge of private equity/debt valuation including market approach (such as market multiples) and income approach (discounted cash flow techniques). Working knowledge of accounting requirements with respect to fair value measurement of financial instruments. Highly motivated individual with strong communication skills. Strong analytical skills, sharp attention for detail, proven ability to meet tight deadlines, while working in a collaborative team environment. Fluency in English. French is preferred however not mandatory.
