MAIN JOB PURPOSEThe Group Pricing Manager – Ocean Freight willplay an important role in putting together competitive commercial proposals for our global project tenders by having access to latest market rates, communicating closely with shipping lines, running an efficient pricing process and helping to improve the access to rates toimprove the overall pricing process across our global office network and internal rate management processes, sharing marketing intelligence and data2. MAIN DUTIES AND TASKSProduce competitive commercial proposals for global tenders in line with overall tender concept in collaboration and upon approval of Line Manager who will liaise with Head OfficeImprove internal pricing processes at Bertling for more competitive rates and swifter responses from the officesBuild and maintain relationships with shipping lines/road carriers and local agentsHelp to develop and implement pricing strategies for our logistics services and potentially internal fixed rates (e.g. on customs clearance) in collaboration with Line Manager who will liaise with Head OfficeFurther enhance the rate management concept at Bertlingin collaboration with Line Manager who will liaise with Head OfficeCome up with effective pricing strategies following market evaluations and taking market risks into account to ensure considerable profit marginsHelp to identify additional target markets and review customer and market trendsEnsure that commercial inquiries are responded to in a timely manner in close collaboration with Global Tendering3.
