Job Description
What’s it all about?
The Business Development Acceptance organization is responsible for enabling and growing the acceptance business in the Central European region, which includes Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Netherlands. This role will be responsible for market development in so far underpenetrated non-carded areas (i.e. Construction, Health, Distribution of gas & electricity, in-vehicle payment) to unlock these areas to allow card based spend for cardholders and businesses driving digital transformation
What we expect of you, day to day.
* Develop and execute strategy for new acceptance growth areas in underpenetrated sectors in Central European markets
* Develop go-to-market-plans for identified growth areas, including target markets, target clients and pipeline, revenue growth goals, and align plans with leadership team
* Create relationships with relevant ecosystem players and third parties to sell appropriate Visa solutions
* Consultatively identifying and understanding client business needs and crafting solutions that grow the business and increase satisfaction with Visa products and services.
* Be accountable for the assigned revenue targets and deliver against them
* Launch pilots of new and existing propositions to test new concepts and use these as a foundation for commercial launches and to showcase Visa capabilities.
* Provide thought Leadership and build trusted relationships, internally and externally. Lead and support external discussions around acceptance solutions.
* Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Visa Acceptance Platform, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Merchants, Product, etc.) to execute and drive sales opportunities.
* Work with external and internal partners to develop localized value propositions based on Visa’s existing suite of products, APIs and data analytics.
* Understand and enhance deal commercials to align investment and target the right opportunities.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
What we're after...
-Experience in growth areas like health, construction, utilities or similar
underpenetrated verticals highly appreciated
-Experience in payments industry, specifically with a track record in developing
client relationships and sales partnerships
-Substantial business experience managing strategic relationships with
financial services and technology solution providers.
-Demonstrated ability to work closely with a partner’s executives to present
Visa’s strategic vision and negotiate effectively on behalf of the company.
-Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and
geographies in a complex matrix environment.
-Be open minded and excited about the future technologies, willing to learn and
work in a multi-cultural environment.
-Analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
-Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships ensuring uptake
and delivery of Visa solutions.
-Effective influencing and communication skills to secure buy-in from clients
and stakeholders.
-Fluency in German and English.
