Key Points
* Candidate must speak German and English. French is a plus.
* Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
* Candidate must reside in Germany or Austria.
* Industrial background, preferably in Machine Tools, Modular Tools Cutter Grinders, and Tool Grinding.
* Sales experience with distributors and OEMs.
Tasks
Business travels are required for this position. The Sales Manager will spend at least 50% of their time visiting customers and creating relationships on the road.
Ideal Profile
* Experience traveling for sales 50% of the time.
* Willingness to travel to Switzerland for product training.
* Experience with modular tools for machines.

Requirements
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
* Manage and develop contacts in your region.
* Develop new leads for all product lines.
* Generate statistical reports.
* Follow up on sales leads and make calls on potential customers.
* Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.
* Obtain and coordinate data and information from staff and member groups.
* Be self-sufficient and independent in scheduling.
* Research and develop lists of potential customers.
* Determine customer needs and provide information to other staff.
* Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers' technical and manufacturing needs.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets.
* Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.
* Work directly with customers to establish a communication path with them.
* Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and services.
* Develop technical presentations and workshops.
* Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends, and government regulations.
* Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
* Establish long-term, ongoing, and repeat relationships.
* Close deals and finalize contracts.
* Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
