About the role:
The Program Manager based in Germany, reports to the Senior Director, Program Management in Los Angeles, and is a part of the PMO team. This position is responsible for leading a variety of product development and business initiatives, playing an integral role in all aspects of the software development life cycle. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data and Business teams to build best-in-class solutions and resolve challenges.
The Program Manager will manage enterprise-level programs and/or multiple projects within each product line (Connexity, Skimlinks, ShopYourLikes), while having responsibility for developing a consolidated view of the program. Program deliverables include: schedules, cross-project dependencies, risk analysis, stakeholder coordination, and regular communication of status.
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic along with excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who is creative, a self-starter, team-player, with strong project management skills, and comfortable in their communication to both technical, and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
* Lead projects throughout entire development lifecycle: concept, design, production, testing, and release of projects
* Partner with engineering & business team to define timelines and milestones for technology projects
* Communicate and own project schedule throughout the project lifecycle
* Manage projects efficiently across multiple divisions and time zones
* Drive innovation through contribution and sound judgment within the engineering teams
* Stand at the intersection of the engineering and product teams, and be a true business partner to all organisations
* Facilitating the AGILE process so priorities are met, while focusing, empowering, and coaching your teams to success
* Communicate with fellow program managers, engineering teams, & business partners regarding project risks or changes in scope and timing
* Resolve obstacles through strong internal partnerships, clear plans of action, and creative problem-solving
Requirements
* Professional written and spoken proficiency in English and German
* 7+ years of experience in program and/or project management working in systems based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
* Knowledge of product development life cycle and methodologies
* Experience in advertising and/or consumer technology program management
* Experience identifying and mitigating risk, leveraging technical solutions and processes
* Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the organisation
* Ability to handle complex information, think critically, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks
* Strong track record of project management success leading engineering teams
* Hands-on experience with Agile, Kanban or Scrum, Waterfall or other web project management methodology
