Join Our Team and Lead the Production of Innovative Sustainable Packaging!
We are looking for an Operational Line Manager with a background in Converting, Paper Making, or Chemistry for our all-new pioneering barrier coating machine, to produce innovative high-barrier papers for recyclable packaging solutions.
Role and responsibilities
* Oversee daily coating and converting operations ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
* Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Guide, train, and lead the team of operators, create development opportunities, and build an environment of trust and engagement for growth.
* Implement and monitor operational strategies to meet production targets and reduce downtime.
* Conduct trials of new products in close collaboration with the R&D team.
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field - advanced degrees are a plus.
* Several years of proven experience in manufacturing or production management (line manager), preferably in the converting, packaging, or paper industry.
* Strong hands-on mentality with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
* Technical understanding of machinery and production processes as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in organizing a quality-testing laboratory.
* Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment.
* Proficiency in German is required; very good level in English.
