Senior Procurement Manager - Germany - 12-Month Contract
A global pharmaceutical company require an experienced Procurement Manager with experience in Managing complex procurement activities on major investment projects.
The Senior Procurement Manager will lead a large capital investment programme throughout the entire project lifecycle supporting the site need for capital/facility delivery, contract administration and sourcing supplies and services.
Reporting into the Procurement Director,, this individual will be responsible for managing the procurement for a highly complex CAPEX project
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Commercial evaluation and advice on Incoming bids (equipment, Engineering suppliers).
2. Drive internal approval of contract approval.
3. Internal alignment with internal stakeholders (e.g.) legal, SME’s and finance.
4. Act as escalation point on ongoing pending suppliers.
5. Support the technical SME in commercial questions.
6. Emphasising proactive, systematic approach to detect and advert delays to contractual milestones agreed upon.
7. Participation in project meetings to provide updates and status of documents submittals.
8. Ensure that updates are provided to all relevant stakeholders on any initiated mitigations on catch-up and improvements.
9. Review status reports for any potential problems and initiate mitigating actions for potential risk areas.
10. Visits field/suppliers on a regular basis, aligns with engineering and other stakeholders for actual status and progress (and get a view behind scene) throughout the project.
11. Reporting and updates on own packages.
12. Make and drive some RFQ’s (strategy, Tender, Evaluations negotiations and contracting) on client’s own contracts.
13. Meticulous file keeper, strong on admin, handle the RFQ tool used by the project.
14. Problem resolver through pragmatism, not words.

21. Experience delivering capital projects > $million
22. Degree level of education in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Business related field or Degree level education in any discipline with relevant experience
23. Fluent in English and German
