Your role
As a trainee Romanian Translator you will:
* translate (non-legal) texts from English into Romanian;
* revise and proofread texts in Romanian;
* help to identify, extract and compile terminology, particularly in the fields of economics and finance;
* contribute to the Romanian team’s other responsibilities, such as maintaining translation memories and providing linguistic advice.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
* a bachelor’s degree or higher in modern languages or translation;
* a good knowledge of the MS Office package, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
* a mastery-level (C2) command of Romanian and an advanced (C1) command of English, according to the .
Desired:
* a master’s degree (completed or in the final stages of completion) in modern languages or translation;
* experience of translating English texts into Romanian;
* an intermediate (B1) command of another official EU language;
* familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools, such as Trados Studio, and an interest in machine translation and language technology;
* an interest in financial and economic affairs.
