Your Role
The Global Head of Business Unit is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management of the global business unit. This role defines the global strategy and business development plan to drive profitable growth and to expand market share. The position reports to the Head of Division.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the business strategy for the global business including the product portfolio, business development, supply chain, pricing, innovation, and overall growth initiatives.
* Define a sustainable, profitable roadmap to drive the business and revenue growth in line with customer requirements, while ensuring it aligns with Döhler's business values.
* Lead and develop a team of product managers.
* Drive innovation projects and pipelines through to the commercialization stage.
* Build strong working relationships with the product organization and the respective internal stakeholders within our global matrix organization.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with our customers to build a deeper understanding of their needs, workflows, and business challenges.
* Support customer visits with the sales team and take over public appearances.
* Communicate up-to-date and aligned portfolio updates on all media including product portfolio displays within and outside of the organization.
* Ensure in-house training to foster a deeper understanding of the product portfolio and its positioning.
Your Profile
* Successful managerial track record in a similar international matrix organization focused on B2B Food & Beverage markets.
* Degree in food technology, general business administration, or in a comparable subject area.
* Proven technological knowledge with a strong commercial drive, ideally experience in a project management function at a bottling plant.
* Proven track record creating and executing product roadmaps incrementally and sustainably.
* Strong customer mindset with demonstrated ability to engage directly and honestly with customers and deliver a positive experience by creating a partnership mentality.
* Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to influence and drive business objectives while maintaining our company and people values.
* Very good understanding of current talent management practices with a great passion for people development.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial thinking skills, capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage change, and multiple priorities in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
* Willingness to travel globally.
* Fluent Business English is required. German or other additional languages are highly beneficial.
