IT Support (m/w/d) Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services and equipment from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls. Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Provides case status updates to management and end-users. Supports and maintains effective relationships with users. Documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to support. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications. CAREER LEVEL: Works under limited supervision on assignments that require a comprehensive knowledge of the discipline. May be responsible for a business activity, or lead small projects, assume several components of a larger project or program, or complex portion of a large project/program. May assist and/or provide limited supervision to more junior staff members. Broad application of principles, theories, concepts, and techniques used in the applicable technical or business discipline and working knowledge of interrelated fields. Develops resolutions to diverse and complex problems very often requiring creativity. Exercises judgment using generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions. Frequent inter-organizational and external customer contacts. May represent the organization on projects and interface with customers. Impact of errors may have implications requiring significant expenditure of resources to correct and/or achieve project goals. Bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ experience, or Masters with 2 years’, or its equivalent.
