Overall mission:
As a Formula Ingredient Management (FIM) Analyst you will play an important role in the FIM team reporting directly to the Head of Technical Perfumery Germany. Your expertise as an Analyst with project process will encompass industrialization and maintenance of fragrance formulation, applying analytical rigor and coordinating project activities for Technical Perfumery serving Development and Operations in Baierbrunn (Germany).
You will:
* Check relevance of Technical Perfumery (TP) project requests; capture all essential information, including negotiation of timelines
* Support Technical Perfumers in reworks
* Perform modifications and changes to more complex formulations under Technical Perfumery guidance, making calculations and ensuring formulas are reported following system requirements
* Participate in smelling evaluations under TP head leadership
* Follow up on project submissions with Evaluation and Sales
* Provide information about pricing, ingredient codes, old formula references, and olfactive cross-referencing item descriptions and nomenclatures
* Support local and global FIM in auditing the usage of ingredients in plant Baierbrunn
* Coordinate and track Ingredient studies, supporting Technical Perfumers
* Download formulas to Experimental Labs and Sample Lab for specific sample requests
* Process First Time Formula Requests and New Business Orders, Initiating production transfers with local QC
* Support Ops in local inventory management
* Transfer and provide access to (incoming/outgoing) formulas to authorized users
* Communicate New Ingredients Introduction (NII) locally and ensure stock level in Lab for Operations and Development
You:
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related discipline
* 4+ years of experience in chemistry formulation
* Fluency in English
* Knowledge of systems, High Proficiency in Excel and procedures for formula transfers
* Knowledge of production methods and quality control procedures in manufacturing facilities
* Knowledge of product technologies and applications
* Effective communication skills combined with diplomacy, and curiosity
