Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-WND199 INSCOM 66TH MIL INTELL GROUP. Serves as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) within the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater). Responsibilities Conducts cybersecurity analysis and testing and provides guidance during site or project engineering, as well as countermeasures to protect Information Systems (IS). Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability through testing and evaluation of assigned IS, security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. Serves as a subject matter expert regarding cybersecurity matters. Provides guidance for development, updating, and testing of the Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Plan for the organization. Conducts risk assessment and vulnerability inspections for the command. Advise senior management or Authorizing Official (e.g., CIO) on risk levels, security posture, and changes affecting the organization's cybersecurity posture.
