The Mercedes-Benz Cars Communications & Marketing unit (MXDC) is responsible for the global conception, implementation and steering of all communication activities and advertising strategies of Mercedes-Benz Cars. We creatively steer our luxury brands across all customer touchpoints and efficiently optimize communication for our customers by means of data-driven and measurable activities. We do all that with the clear goal of creating and deepening our customers’ enthusiasm and desire for the brand.

As part of the Digital Innovation & Data Factory team, you will be able to immerse yourself in a wide variety of data projects along the entire customer journey and have the chance to actively drive them forward. You will be part of the first central Data Factory in the Marketing & Communication unit and thus make a valuable and sustainable contribution to the digitization of the division and actively shape its cultural change. Agile working methods in a cross-functional team set-up offer the perfect working environment to drive the development of analytical products and use cases. In doing so, we pursue a clear vision: Through excellent in-house support for data projects, we will contribute to a desirable and data-driven brand presence.
Your tasks will include:
1. Participation and support in the implementation of digital & data analytics projects in communication & marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars using common methods from the areas of statistics and business intelligence for data analysis, evaluation, and visualization, from ideation to operationalization
2. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement algorithms for various Generative AI applications
3. Assist in the development and implementation of AI-driven marketing tools
4. Conduct experiments and evaluate the performance of traditional ML and Generative AI models to solve real-world problems
5. Conduct research on the latest AI trends and their applications in marketing and communication and contribute insights to the team
6. Participate in discussion, brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing activities within the team

Qualifikationen
12. Currently enrolled in studies of computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or comparable fields with mathematical, statistical, or econometric components
13. Hands on experience in Data Science or in a data-driven work environment are a plus (e.g. in the automotive industry, management consulting, media agency, software, or start-up industry)
14. Knowledge about Generative AI is a huge plus, including ComfyUI modeling and the RAG framework, to create engaging content, including text and images.
15. Hands on experience in Neural Networks, Machine learning models and Large Language Models.
16. Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
17. Business fluent English language skills, German as a plus
