YOUR ROLE
From Day 1, with us you will:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with German regulations (e.g., Arbeitsschutzgesetz, DGUV regulations) and P&G’s corporate requirements.
2. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to minimize workplace hazards.
3. Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes, handle workers' compensation claims, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Regularly review and update safety protocols and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
5. Develop and implement robust environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and P&G’s corporate requirements.
6. Monitor and manage waste disposal, recycling, promote and lead environmental impact reduction initiatives and conduct regular audits and inspections ensuring all operations meet sustainability goals.
7. Design, develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for new and existing employees and promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness throughout the organization.
8. Develop and implement effective emergency response plans and procedures.
9. Lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
10. Provide strong leadership and direction to HSE team members and other staff.
11. Develop and implement strategic HSE plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
12. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
13. Act as a key point of contact for HSE matters, providing expert advice and support.
Job Qualifications
YOUR PROFILE
14. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
15. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
16. In-depth knowledge of German HSE regulations and standards.
17. Strong understanding of HSE management systems, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
18. Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
19. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
20. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
22. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
23. Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
24. Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software.
25. Fluent language skills in English and German are a must.
