As a part of our SE TI Sustainable Energy Systems team, the role of Head of Secondary Electric is instrumental in leading our efforts towards innovation and excellence in the green hydrogen sector. This position focuses on the electrical engineering of low-power components within electrolysis systems, specifically tailored for both PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) and alkaline electrolysis technologies. By managing the design and customization of electrical cabinets and ensuring they meet project-specific and technological requirements, you will play a pivotal role in sustaining our leadership in the green hydrogen industry. How You'll Make an Impact Lead a team of electrical engineers specializing in the low-power aspects of electrolysis systems, setting objectives, timelines, and quality standards to align with both PEM and alkaline electrolysis technologies Drive the development, customization, and optimization of electrical cabinet designs, ensuring they meet specific requirements for PEM and alkaline electrolysis applications Continuously evaluate and enhance design and development processes, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement, particularly in the context of PEM and alkaline technologies Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients, and partners, facilitating feedback integration and alignment of project objectives with technological advancements in PEM and alkaline electrolysis Promote and implement innovative practices and technologies, particularly those enhancing PEM and alkaline electrolysis applications, to maintain Siemens Energy's leadership position Drive the recruitment, training, and professional development of the engineering team, ensuring a deep understanding of PEM and alkaline electrolysis technologies and their application in product development What You Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a specific focus on electrolysis technologies At least 10 years of electrical engineering experience, with a significant focus on product development, project management, and ideally specialized expertise in PEM and alkaline electrolyser technology Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in low-power applications, with demonstrated experience in electrical cabinet design and customization for electrolysis systems Proven ability to lead diverse, multicultural teams and effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders experienced in COMOS Demonstrated capability to foster innovation, embrace new technologies, and drive process improvements, with a particular emphasis on advancements in PEM and alkaline electrolysis Readiness to work with and travel to international teams and clients, facilitating global partnerships and project success.
