The International Sales Manager – Central and Northern Europe will report directly to Rain Bird Europe’s General Manager and will be responsible for creating and driving sales growth and product strategies for our landscape segment in UK, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe North. The succesful candidate will think and plan strategically and will be a key sales leader in the development and execution of the overall Rain Bird Europe’s operating plan. He/she must be collaborative, driven, high energy and have a demonstrated track record of success in both sales and business management. This position will be measured on market top line sales growth and market share growth. This position can be based on France, Belgium or Germany.Lead the sales and market share growth strategies in the markets he/she is responsible for. Lead a team of sales managers and individual contributors and provide leadership and development to the Central and Northern Europe sales team. Manage the distributors network in the region, which may include corporate accounts that extend outside of the assigned territory. Help identify, prioritize, and develop target growth areas.Monitor customer trends, market analysis, pricing dynamics and competition, and collaborate with the General Manager designing the long-term commercial strategy for the assigned regions. Assist positioning strategies across the Rain Bird product portfolio tailored to specific markets.Identify business development opportunities and handle key projects. Minimum Qualifications:10 years of international sales/business development experience, preferably in irrigationAn advanced degree, MBA or similar experience managing business units including P&L accountability. Business level proficiency in English, and previous experience reporting and presenting in that language.Experience leading a business unit or group with full accountability for results. Strong distribution management experience. Experience designing sales strategies across countries and territories. Strong career progression Supervisory experience with a geographically dispersed team and experience developing individuals to higher level positions or responsibilities. Ability to achieve results individually and through team leadership.Strong understanding of product promotion, pricing, channel development and market planningA strong strategic perspective and an analytical approach to decision making.Strong leadership and influencing skills.
