IT system technicians for the central technical operations service (ZTBD) of the cooperative control center of the Berlin police and fire department (f/m/d) Reference number:
You will work directly on the digital backbone of the control center in areas such as IT security, data protection, geodata infrastructure, voice communication system and in the area of high-availability data centers with a self-sufficient data network.
With your know-how, you will make a valuable contribution to setting up the future control center technology and will later ensure technical operation as part of the team through installation and maintenance, occasionally also outside regular working hours in the form of on-call duty and/or shift work.
You will coordinate with colleagues in the IT departments of the existing control centers and external suppliers.
As part of first and second level support, you are the first point of contact for employees at the Cooperative Control Center
You have a Bachelor's degree or a corresponding degree from a university of applied sciences in the fields listed below or in a comparable course of study. You are familiar with terms such as server architecture, network technology, DHCP, Cat5, fiber optics, firewall, Docker images, virtual environments, load balancing, Active Directory, identity management and PKI, backups, IT security and more.
You are familiar with Windows and/or Linux at administrator and command line level, know the internal processes and can configure the systems.
It is also desirable if you already have experience with 1st or 2nd level support or generally the workflow using ITIL and dealing with process-oriented work.
You have a class B driving license or are willing to obtain one
You have at least C1 level German language skills.
