About the Role
As a Lead Project Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our evolving organization. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, ensuring financial oversight, process optimization, and strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee projects end-to-end, from commercial structuring and contracting to invoicing and financial tracking.
* Conduct project calculations, utilization reporting, budget deviation control, and P&L tracking.
* Manage project setup and administration, including pricing, billing plans, and milestone frameworks.
* Engage directly with CxO-level executives and senior management.
* Collaborate with Profit Centre Leads, Finance, Controlling, and Business Operations teams.
* Ensure efficient project setup in SAP S/4HANA, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and compliance.
* Oversee contingent workforce processes, from requisition to budgeting and activity tracking.
* Optimize and enhance processes within your area of responsibility.
* Execute monthly closing activities such as invoicing, deferred bookings, and revenue tracking.
* Support business unit leads in forecasting and budgeting.
* Manage customer payment processes.
* Lead and develop a team of Business Managers, ensuring strong financial performance and results.
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Address and manage project-related audit inquiries.
This role is based in or near Munich and offers a fully flexible work environment, including home office options and adaptable working hours.
Requirements
* Experience: At least five years in a similar role within Project Controlling.
* Mindset & Work Ethic: Strong sense of ownership, transparency, and commitment to achieving high standards.
* Languages: Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
* Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
* Interpersonal Strengths: Strong intercultural competence and a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
