RMS Trade Processing RMS Trade processing is a platform that allows post trade processing of mainly commodity securities, to support groups from Trading and Structuring to Operations under the Rates & Credit Trading desk activities. We are in the middle of transforming our processes to make it easier and cheaper to maintain by implementing new functionality on our strategic global platform. Therefore, we are looking for motivated developers with a passion for agile practices to join our team. Currently we are looking for an enthusiastic backend developer to join our team, working on a business-critical platform built in Java in the backend. The current technical stack includes Java, Kotlin, REST web services, Oracle, GCP. Send us your CV anyway Your key responsibilities Design and develop new functionality on Java. Frontend/Full-stack development is a plus Design and implement subsystems and intersystem protocols, drive longer-term platform architectural vision. Conduct peer reviews to ensure designs and code are fit for purpose, extensible & re-usable. Collaborate and communicate openly. Pair with colleagues to write software and solve problems, engage directly with business stakeholders to elicit functional non-functional requirements, and ensure that the software delivered is fit for purpose Willingness to understand business domain, work with business users / stakeholders. Investigate and fix production incidents, drive stability and monitoring improvements. Your skills and experiences Many years of working experience and excellent knowledge of Java, good knowledge of Linux, understanding of containers and cloud solutions. Proven track record in high-load distributed system design and fault tolerant applications, algorithms Team player, open to collaboration, ability to work in distributed teams and lead engineers Ability to take ownership of a task until its completion and solve complex problems, rather than just coding or testing Experience working with agile development practices, with a good knowledge of tools to facilitate agile delivery such as Git, Jenkins, TeamCity. Technical analysis and system development experience within a financial institution preferred. An understanding of trade lifecycle and functions from Front Office to downstream processes, including knowledge of commodities, exotic and/or indices is a bonus.
