For our Microfluidic Platforms division, we offer at Freiburg im Breisgau (end of spring/summer 2025) Master Thesis – Microfluidic Design of a Point-of-Care Test for Multiparameter Analysis (m/f/x) Your Tasks Familiarize with the subject area, particularly centrifugal microfluidics Microfluidic design: CAD and simulation of a microfluidic network on a centrifugal microfluidic cartridge (using SolidWorks and MATLAB Sim-ulink) Design validation and testing of the cartridges in the laboratory Documentation and evaluation of the results Discussion of the results and next steps with your supervisor Participation in regular meetings with the project team Your profile You are currently studying for a Master's degree in engineering in a STEM subject (e.g. microsys-tems technology, sustainable systems engineer-ing, embedded systems or comparable degree programs) Basic knowledge of microsystems technology Enjoyment of interdisciplinary topics and interest in medical technology You are reliable, independent, team-oriented and you have a proactive way of working You are characterized by creativity and initiative Very good English language skills; German is a plus Our offer to you Innovative working environment: State-of-Art research institute with close links to industry.
