The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application Job Description As energy storage systems evolve, the demand for advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) with high-performance power electronics and precise sensing capabilities is increasing. Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) topology has gained significant attention due to its scalability, high efficiency, and improved fault tolerance. This project aims to design and implement a PCB-based BMS that integrates key sensing units and gate drivers to ensure accurate monitoring, control, and communication for efficient battery operation. During your assignment you will dive deep into the latest advancements in technology. You’ll research and analyze current trends conducting a comprehensive state-of-the-art review. You will design PCBs and simulate your designs to ensure they meet our high standards. Hardware implementation and FPGA programming & communication are also part of your area of responsibility. Finally, you will analyze the results of your work, drawing insights and conclusions that will inform future projects and innovations. Qualifications Education: Master studies in the field of Electronic, Electrical, Information Engineering or comparable Experience and Knowledge: experience with electronics and electronic development; high proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++ or similar programming software; solid background in power electronics and FPGA prototyping is a plus Personality and Working Practice: you excel at conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely, and delivering engaging presentations that capture attention and foster understanding Languages: fluent in English Additional Information Start: according to prior agreement Duration: 6 months – 10 h/week Requirement for this working student position is the enrollment at university.
