Role Overview
The role holder will be based in Germany, focusing on expanding and growing Everest’s Property Portfolio. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a key role in driving the achievement of our objectives for profitability, growth, service excellence, and producer relations.
You’ll be working with major industry clients, managing medium to large size accounts. You’ll be part of a fantastic, supportive and collaborative team, with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.
Core Responsibilities:
* To Produce, Underwrite and service Open Market, Facility and Delegated Authority Property accounts and to assist with property underwriting and departmental workflow systems, processes and related issues as necessary.
* Expanding the Property account in line with EIID appetites, controls, underwriting strategy, and guidelines, always maintaining a focus on bottom line underwriting profit and delivery EIID internal plans.
* Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key brokers and clients.
* Underwrite and price Property risks, including all forms of distribution, and determine the acceptability of risks for underwriting.
* Bind various coverages subject to authority level and answer inquiries from producers.
* Prepare quotations and formal proposals on new and renewal business.
* Ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to EIID standards.
* Assist with the development and evolution of divisional pricing, accumulation and other systems as necessary.
* Assist Head of Property in addressing and resolving overdues, workflow and various clerical issues within EIID as necessary.
* Effectively communicate with management on all issues both within and outside the Unit as needed.
* Interact and coordinate activities with other departments (e.g. Claims, Loss Control, and Accounting).
* Liaise with other EIID underwriting departments as necessary.
* Recommend new procedures and programs where warranted.
* Furnish intelligence on the Property market, including competitor strengths and weaknesses.
* Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and / or carry out responsibilities and / or administrative activities at EIID.
* Develop business through execution of new ideas and strategies which may involve accessing business outside of London maximizing the use of the existing Everest network.
* Understand Group appetites and how to maximize the value of the company platform for the group.

* Strong Property Underwriting experience across Company platforms in the International marketplace.
* Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally.
* Maintains and develops market knowledge including competitor profiles and products.

* Excellent negotiation skills.
