Drawing insights from regenerative agriculture, adaptive reuse and the slow movement, we are currently developing places around the world that offer a deeper, more conscious and collaborative form of hospitality. As part of the global Finance team, the Senior Financial Controller (Hospitality) will take a financial lead role in the overall management of the company’s hospitality operations. You will have primary day-to-day responsibility for managing and controlling all finance-related activities of the company in its field of hospitality operations, including reporting, deal and data analysis, implementation and monitoring of cost improvements, financing and all efficiency related guidance for both financial and operational teams. Tasks Establish an integrated financial controlling structure for hospitality operations across all places, projects and services. Provide guidance to Operational Teams and Operational Managers on all efficiency-related matters. Report key metrics to different stakeholders (Board/C-Level, Operations Leadership & Operational Teams). Monitor and control data for Slow Operations real-time. Monitor and control the entire accounting function as per accounting standards. Challenge the status quo, and provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Prepare financial analysis as and when required. Oversee all operational budget/actual reports and results. Prepare ad-hoc analyses relating to operational performance. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place. Continuously develop the setup and maintenance of controlling systems. Execute monthly/periodic audits and give directives to the team, when required. Requirements Strong in problem-solving, resulting in sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency. Results- and goal-oriented while maintaining high standards for yourself and others. An experienced professional who moves from theory to real-time application of knowledge in the business domain – a strategist and thinker, but also a catalyst and doer. Strong personality with an ability to communicate, negotiate and manage across all levels of the organization. Affinity towards hospitality, finance and technology. Advanced Excel skills. Solid understanding of accounting and USALI, knowledge of HGB is a plus. Minimum 5 years of work experience (preferably 7 or more), as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role within the hospitality industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English; Portuguese is a plus. Experience in hospitality operations is essential and required.
