GENERAL SUMMARY The Manager, Group Sales – Dach region is responsible for generating contracted room revenue from Dach speaking region of Europe with global distribution across all Preferred Hotels & Resorts (PH&R) collections. This role requires a balance of sales skills, business development acumen, and strong organizational abilities, as the Sales Manager is expected to generate revenue, develop new business, manage accounts effectively, and support the overall goals of the group sales team. The position involves developing and executing strategic plans across primary corporate, incentive, and third-party meeting planners, while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the PH&R Brand and Collections. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Group Sales – Europe and Global Sales, Middle East & Africa, the Manager, Group Sales - Dach works with the Senior Sales Director, Group – Europe, the Account Manager Team, Group Sales, the Marketing Team, Hotel Members, and Clients. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES A. Identify, qualify and distribute group leads from accounts in the Dach Region B. Create, maintain, and regularly update comprehensive account plans for key & focus accounts C. Cultivate strong client relationships through consistent communication, gathering critical insights on needs and decision factors. Effectively relay this intelligence to hotel partners, enabling them to craft compelling, tailored proposals to assist with conversion of these leads D. Collaborate to achieve team production and tactical goals while meeting individual targets E. Dedicate a minimum of 20% of work week to direct business development, focusing on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities F. Organize and execute in-market client events, schedule strategic sales calls, and provide consultative support to hotels to boost revenue within the designated territory G. Work closely with Regional Directors to develop and implement actionable strategies for both new and existing hotels directed by the Vice President, Group Sales – Europe and Global Sales, Middle East & Africa H. Partner with Leisure and Corporate sales associates on key clients spanning multiple sales segments to maximize revenue opportunities I. Coordinate and conduct familiarization (FAM) trips under the guidance of the Vice President, Group Sales – Europe and Global Sales, Middle East & Africa and the Senior Sales Director, Group – Europe J. Actively participate in client and hotel events as directed by leadership K. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all PH&R Collections hotels L. Keep detailed, timely account records in the company's CRM system M. Demonstrate proficiency in CRM and Power BI for reporting and data analysis N. Support hotels in assigned geographic territory as directed by Vice President, Group Sales – Europe and Global Sales, Middle East & Africa and the Senior Sales Director, Group – Europe QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in hospitality, typically acquired through a university degree in business or hotel management, along with at least three years of hotel sales experience. The ideal individual will excel at business development, possess a good grasp of international travel and cultures, and have the ability and desire to build strong relationships. Key to success in this role is the ability to communicate value to clients, gain trust in a consultative role, a knack for storytelling to create interest, an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to multitask. Proficiency in time management and a proven track record of uncovering new business opportunities are important assets. This position offers the chance to leverage hospitality expertise and sales acumen to drive our growth in a dynamic, global environment. WORKING CONDITIONS This role follows a hybrid working model. You can typically expect to spend your working days between client meetings and site visits, with 1 or 2 days working at our Preferred Office in Munich or your home office. However, this may vary based on business demands and client meeting requirements. We will also consider candidates who are located in Frankfurt. REQUIRED TRAINING 1. Orientation 2.
