Job Summary: The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s business operations in Europe, including sales, business development, marketing, and customer service. This role will involve strategic planning, P&L management, and leading a cross-functional team to achieve business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the electric motors and drives industry and a proven track record of expanding business in the European market. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to drive growth in the European market. Lead market expansion initiatives, including identifying new business opportunities and establishing strategic partnerships. Sales & Business Development: Set sales targets and develop action plans to achieve them, expanding the company’s presence in key markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Oversee the development of pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness and profitability. Operations Management: Ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations in the region, including logistics, supply chain, and customer service. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in operations and customer service. Financial Management: Manage the P&L for the European business, ensuring financial targets are met. Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining product quality and service levels. Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team across sales, marketing, and operations. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electric motors and drives industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of business expansion and P&L management in the European market. Strong understanding of industrial automation, electric vehicles, and renewable energy applications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
