The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security, particularly in managing vulnerabilities and handling incident management. You will be responsible for selecting, deploying, and managing security tools, architecting secure environments, and defining processes around vulnerability management and external attack surface management.This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to ensure the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure, while also supporting scalable, efficient operations.Key Responsibilities:Cloud Security Architecture Design: Architect secure cloud environments, leveraging industry best practices and compliance requirements, with a primary focus on GCP. Design and implement security solutions that protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical cloud systems and data. Experience with IaC particularly with Terraform, Kubernetes.Vulnerability Management: Build and manage an end-to-end vulnerability management program, including external attack surface management. Develop and maintain processes to identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities within GCP and related environments.Incident Management: Lead incident management processes for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and other security events. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create effective response plans, including root cause analysis, remediation strategies, and reporting.Tool Selection & Implementation: Evaluate, select, and implement security tools, technologies, and services. Ensure alignment with security goals, cost efficiency, and ease of integration into existing systems. Lead the rollout of these tools and ensure they are properly configured and maintained.Process Definition & Documentation: Develop and document security processes and procedures around vulnerability management, external attack surface management, incident response, and tool use. Ensure these processes are well-integrated with overall IT operations and development workflows.Collaboration & Training: Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into the development lifecycle. Provide security guidance and training to internal stakeholders to promote a security-first culture.Risk Management: Identify potential security risks, assess their impact, and create strategies to mitigate them. Continuously monitor the security landscape to ensure proactive identification of new threats and vulnerabilities.Compliance & Governance: Ensure cloud security architecture and operations comply with relevant industry regulations (e.G., GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA). Assist with audits and reviews to ensure adherence to security policies.
