For our location in 75031 Eppingen, we are looking for a Trainee Health & Safety Coordinator (m/f/d) as part of the V.I.E. Program for a period of 12 months, starting as soon as possible. Your role : As a V.I.E in Health & Safety, you will act as a safety coach for the workplace, promoting health, safety, and well-being initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Based at our Eppingen site in Germany, you will report to the Health & Safety Manager and collaborate closely with our headquarters. As part of the local Health & Safety team, you will work with logistics, operations, and engineering teams to implement safety regulations, risk assessments, and protocols, while also supporting mental wellness and work-life balance initiatives. What responsibilities are common for Trainee Health and Safety job? Assist in developing and implementing health and safety plans and procedures. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections. Support the creation and delivery of health and safety training programs. Monitor and ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations. Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures. Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety practices. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes. Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for safety issues Collaborate with engineers and departments to ensure safety is integrated into all processes and designs What are the typical qualifications for Trainee Health and Safety job? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to recognize when safety conditions need improvement Ability to prioritize tasks especially when handling an accident or incident Good understanding of data analysis and risk assessment Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Technical background (plus) Education : Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field. Candidates with a strong technical background looking to transition into Health & Safety are also welcome.
