Job Description: Details of the role and how it fits into the team The CB Leveraged Finance (LF) team within TF&L-Lending is responsible for the product driven Leveraged Lending (LL) business within CB. The team focusses on DACH and selective countries within EMEA. LF originates and structures cash-flow based (acquisition) financing used for mergers and acquisitions / private equity led buyouts, re-capitalizations, other financing for entities majority owned / controlled by private equity or refinancing thereof, across the entire debt profile of a transaction. Your key responsibilities Origination and arrangement of debt financing in a leveraged buyout and / or complex leveraged lending Structuring, execution and deal lead of Leveraged Buy-Out (LBO) lending transactions, recapitalizations and add-on acquisitions as well as other risk driven portfolio activities (i.e. amendments, waivers and other structural adjustments) Portfolio- / Risk-ownership (incl. regulatory required and risk adequate monitoring) of CBs LBO lending portfolio plus further advisory on and limit governance for corporate clients classified as (product driven and/or corporate) LL within CB 1 Line of Defence (LoD) credit decision and preparation of credit analysis based on due diligence reports prepared by third party providers, management presentations, historical financials, business plan (including case dependent analysis) and enterprise valuation and interaction with the 2 LoD to obtain credit decisions (following LL requirement procedures and LL credit process guide) Negotiation of financing documentation (based on leveraged LMA) in coordination with (internal and external) legal counsel Market coverage (in cooperation with Sponsor Coverage) of the European Financial Sponsor environment active in the MidCap market in relevant jurisdictions Close cooperation with other structuring units within DB (like i.e. GCT, (L)DCM, etc.) dealing with Financial Sponsors and CB structuring teams to ensure highly profitable lending growth Your skills and experiences Strong quantitative, numerical and analytical skills; structuring, risk management and/or M&A expertise preferable Creative problem-solving abilities and ability to multi-task Excellent communication and presentation skills and high self-motivation Investment banking and strong credit experience; leveraged finance and/or risk management preferable Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork, proactive way of working and solution-oriented behavior Willingness to travel occasionally to site visits and management presentations (predominantly in Western Europe) Business fluent in German and English Secure handling of the MS-Office package (in particular PowerPoint, Excel and Word) What we offer We provide you with a comprehensive portfolio of benefits and offerings to support both, your private and professional needs.
