We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our R&D team focusing on software development for advanced navigation in orthopaedic surgery. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a cutting-edge solution for computer-assisted surgery that can have a significant impact on patient outcomes. Our offer to you: - You will perform problem solving, identify potential solutions and evaluate them. - You will implement software components in C++/Qt on a Linux platform. - You will work in a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and domain experts. - Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics. - Document research findings, algorithms and results in reports. That makes you stand out: - You are currently enrolled in a master's programme in computer science, biomedical engineering or a related field. - You have experience in object-oriented programming (C++/Java, etc.) and a strong interest in developing high-performance software. - You have a background in computer vision, image processing and/or machine learning. - Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques is a plus. - You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. - You have good communication and documentation skills in English.
